The challenge
Production planning depended on a single ageing server with no tested backup. Unplanned outages were costing roughly two shifts of lost output every month, and nobody could say how long a full rebuild would take.
What we did
A full infrastructure audit mapped every dependency on that server. We virtualised the critical workloads onto resilient hardware, implemented verified nightly backups with a tested restore process, and documented a recovery runbook the shop-floor supervisor could follow without escalation.
The outcome
Unplanned downtime fell substantially within the first quarter. A verified restore now completes in under four hours, against an unknown and untested position before the engagement.
